I once was lost but now I am found; was blind but now I see! This particular product sacrifices slightly on aesthetics compared to other models but delivers completely on looks and the anti-fog tech is miraculous.

Choosing is stressful! I hope I can help. My experience is based on over 15 years of trial and error, always self-supported, self-taught and parting with my own hard earned money as sensibly as possible. Views are my own.
Review of the Maritonia Hydroclear tech 2.0 BE048 mid-frame goggles
I have and have had lots of goggles, the Maritonia brand, of which I have two types - the other reviewed here: - deliver completely on their main selling point, the best anti-fog tech out there.
After just a few wears, my other goggles are still good but definitely require a lot of care and sometimes spray before using just to keep them clear and fogging up.
#1: Clear, for ages!
Maritonia goggles are unrivalled in the area of anti-fog. I have had two pairs of the mirrored racing goggles and these mid-frame goggles that have become the no.1 choice. But even though one of the racing goggles is so used that there are scratches on the outside of the lenses, they still give a perfectly clear experience. This is important to appreciate not only for the swimming experience but also that you will not need to buy new goggles as often and as they are slightly more expensive that makes them worth that additional extra.
#2: Mirrored helps glare in racing, and looks good
Okay the looking good part might be subjective but I'm a big fan of mirrored goggles and often you might not choose them because they can be darker and less clear. That is no issue with these. The mirrored lenses help particulary for racing and swimming at sunrise, of which most triathlons are, when sighting can be really hard.
#3: More comfortable than 'racing' goggles
Unless you're a competitive pool swimmer or looking to outswim some marine life then aero isn't much of a factor, particularly in open water triathlon races. So the ever, ever so slight difference isn't really a consideration that these are slightly bulkier than other mirrored sleek models doesn't affect a purchase decision for me.
These have a cushier wider fit with wide vision that are perfect for long open water swims, particularly middle distance (70.3, T100) or long distance (Ironman) triathlons. They don't have the same slight bruising feel when you take them off that smaller goggles have.
Headlines, outstanding Pros and Cons
More expensive than your average goggle but longer lasting
Very comfortable
Mirrored lenses good for glare in early AM triathlon races
Standout Pros:
Amazing anti-fog tech
#4: The Final Score
It will take a lot for me to not buy maritonia, for training lifetime as well as clear racing experience they are my new favourite! And these are my no.1 choice in their range.
